Somehow Wipeout still kills it in the ratings. I'll never understand that...

Somehow Wipeout still kills it in the ratings. I'll never understand that... A few things are happening. 1) These are repeats no matter how much they try to repackage this. 2) A LOT of fans wants SASUKE and tuned into ANW thinking it was NW. 3) Wipeout (especially now) is it's own show and not tied to another bigger hit. The history is far enough away that people tune into to SPECIFICALLY look for this show. 4) ANW format changes per season seems to be hampering it's own history. There's no continuity. 5) It's on NBC....

No problem, although just keep in mind that's just using the info from here and from watching it pretty much. 8 eps was mentioned in the first post and I've been watching and they've just been doing 1 region per ep (Condensing highlights of qualifying and semis into them) and they've aired 5 regions so far, in the same airing order as the regions were shown in the original broadcast.

I missed the last episode, was there any new (or at least new-ish) footage in it?

I'm curious how it did on SyFy. I saw a LOT more Twitter activity than when it was airing on NBC.

This whole episode with Syfy was likely nothing more than a test to find a potential "new home" for ANW/NW.

I think it's more ANW5 hyping, they did the same thing with ANW2

They've been doing that for a while now so it's not anything new. Remember the word they use in television.. "Synergy" (yeah it makes my skin crawl).. anyway seems NBC is now officially in 5TH place in network.. dropping below Spanish channel Univision.. ouch.. Hollywood Reporter article I'm curious how they are going to package ANW5 to fit their summer lineup now that they are in the tank.. I mean it was coming.. but I didn't think they would officially be 5th..
