Let's play "What Sim Sasuke obstacles are gonna be in Sasuke 28"! I think at least 2 or 3. I should take a look at some of the obstacles. I should totally look at obstacles and say how they're going to do them, I for a fact said after 24 after someone (Maybe Sheep) said they were going to use the Cannonball Attack I said "If they use it they're going to make it straight and use that scrapped bridge thing from the 23 navi instead of cannonballs. And then this happened...

I'm f*cking thrilled at the announcement!
I hope they go for a more simplistic obstacle approach, more warped walls and ropes, less ultimate cliffhangers and chain see-saws (unless they remove the ladders, in which case it would be simple and awesome).

Competitors we'll deal with after trials, this is a post Kanzenseiha tournament and a revamped series, the course itself is a major deal

How much do you figure a trip to japan would cost? And you have to make it to tryouts AND the tournament, so that would be two trips.
I know I'm considering it if it's within price range...

Now that I think of it, what I have in mind sounds more like Sasuke is turning into a less death trap version of Viking. OMG if they have the Bio Clock I would absolutely flip out As someone who was more positive about Kunoichi being re-imagined, I'm probably more optimistic than others Same here. I loved the change. I'm extremely optimistic about a revival. But just no Whipeout...

When I think of Sasuke 28 all I can think of is the Super Sasuke era of Sim Sasuke.

I think straying from the classic, 100 competitors, 4 stages, 1 chance setup would be a bad idea.
I would love to see the course HEAVILY themed. As in, special effects, amazing lighting and scenary. However, the obstacles shouldn't turn ridiculous as a result. If they really wanted to go big, they could install permanent obstacles that are integrated into huge movie set style courses.
A "through the ages" theme would be pretty awesome:

Get the lighting crew from ANW4 and the course stylist who has made our familiar Sasuke, put those two together and we will have the most amazing looking course ever... (What? The final stage in vegas looked f***ing amazing)

TBH when I said that Sasuke would be more Viking, right as I said it my mind went "And there better be a version of the Ultimate Plank that says SASUKE instead of VIKING", so you're not alone in that sentiment

I 3rd that sentiment. I also hope Tomino Keita can become an on-course competitor, seeing as Yuuji and Ryo have lifetime spots now. If it's supposed to be a tryout, what better references than the two finalists from last tournament, one of whom became the only 2-time champion?

Does it strike anyone as odd that people are not supposed to be doing/filming themselves doing any self-made SASUKE obstacles in their application videos? Was that a rule for ANW?
|
|
|
Post by RiderLeangle on Sept 28, 2012 9:14:15 GMT -5
No that wasn't a rule for ANW, in fact many entries were people on replicas. And did the page say people can't use replicas at all? The Google Translation disaster made it look like you're not allowed to play on replicas in the first minute, kinda implying they were fine later in the video. Also how would that rule relate to found obstacles? Like doing something somewhere not designed to be an obstacle, but it's still recognizable as certain obstacles? As for reasoning, I don't think they want another person with many replicas coming and crushing the course like it's nothing again
