I didn't notice this on first viewing, but did catch it on second viewing. Has the buzzer ever popped out in SASUKE, or is this another example of G4/A. Smith & Co. production values?

TBS has had issues with the button before (maybe not on Sasuke but on Banzuke they have) and let's not forget Viking where the gates almost busted Nagano's face off after he beat the Ultimate Plank

Regarding the episode on the 16th (mods, please move if/when necessary): Considering they actually show the final 12 to take on Stage 1 in order from slowest to fastest in regional finals (and excluding Travis Furlanic), the order should be as follows:
#89 Andrew Karsen #90 Jesse La Flair #91 Evan Dollard #92 Luis Moco #93 David Campbell #94 Tim Shieff #95 Brandon Douglass #96 Matthew Derouen #97 Paul Kasemir #98 James McGrath #99 Drew Drechsel #100 David "Flip" Rodriguez
18 have cleared so far, and IIRC it's been said that 24 cleared Stage 1; therefore, half of these guys ended up failing it. As to exactly who cleared and who failed...well, that'll have to wait until Monday. In one of the Sunday G4 shows, David Rodriguez had 100, Paul Kasemir had 99, and I believe Evan Dollard had 95. Hence why I put emphasis on the word "should". I wasn't expecting them to get it entirely right.

Granted that wasn't "button" issue, but that still counts as issues by TBS/M9. But the button issue on ANW is just pathetic. Can you imagine how ludicrous it would be if the button issue occur on Final Stage?

All things considered, I wouldn't be surprised

Erm, I know its fun to bash the course for not being built right (and lol at the button) but as a first attempt it's not bad.
Remember it was only a few years ago when the rolling log would come off the track mid-roll or roll backwards off the start ramp because they hadn't put a stopper at the top. Oh and the Rope Glider being awesome minus the fact it nearly killed everyone.
Takes time to smooth out the issues. I do miss that unpredictable rolling log though.

Thing is they had proper specs to build the obstacles with, they didn't use them, so there's no real excuse when they're ignoring the instructions. For a decent analogy, I suggest you go to Ikea, just buy some piece of furniture, throw out the instructions and build it and see how well it works

Caught up on this today. Cole Stevens is sooo dreamy. I know how the button felt. I popped out too.

But fair point, just all I'm saying, if we continue using your analogy, is that a lot of people follow the instructions exactly and it still doesn't look like anything in the picture when it's done. But they make do with it. So far, I don't think it's been that bad but I will happily change my tune if Stage 2 rolls around and is as bad as what we've been hearing.

Especially considering *SPOILERS AHEAD! DON'T CLICK IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILED!* there were 24 competitors in Stage 2 and only one person even made it to the end and might not have made it in time (reports have said false clear but the audience had a glitchy clock for stage 2...) Also round padded balance tank on thin tracks

Are you talking about the clock on the tower? If you are that had to have been ridiculous.
