The only bit that really mattered to me was adults 18-49 growing from 1.5 to 1.8. And that's good? They have been averaging 2+ consistently every week and at a point almost 3.. I don't see that as good news.

Final ratings from tvbythenumbers.: NBC American Ninja Warrior 1.7/5 (18-49 Rating/Sh) 4.99 Viewers (Millions)
There's no surprise to me with the low ratings. There was some interesting half-hour breakdown info from the earlier preliminary ratings: At 8 p.m. ET, a special Tuesday telecast of “American Ninja Warrior” (1.6/5 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall) grew substantially from half-hour to half-hour in all key categories, including gains of 20 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.8 fro a 1.5), 44 percent in men 18-34 (1.3 vs. 0.9) and 14 percent in total viewers (5.3 million vs. 4.6 million) Thanks for finding that and here's the rest of the pieces on both Tuesday's (NBC) and Sunday's (G4) numbers. Tuesday, June 12 (NBC) Final ratings (adjusted): tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2012/06/13/tuesday-final-ratingsamerican-ninja-warrior-and-hells-kitchen-adjusted-up-love-in-the-wild-adjusted-down-plus-nba-final-numbers/137878/?utm_campaign=WP%20%3E%20Twitter&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterNBC - Tuesday June 12 Rating 1.7 / Share 5 Viewers Million: 4.99Ratings-wise they were 2nd in Network in the first half hour then 3rd in the 2nd half hour when Basketball pregame started. Viewership they were actually down 3rd-4th. They still lost to Hell's Kitchen which we figured actually. And no one expected them to do much against the NBA Finals on ABC so no loss there. Overall they did well considering that they were moved to this night out of nowhere when the Stanley Cup preempted their Monday slot. NBC and G4 have to be blamed for not telling people of the time change.. Rest of the articles: Original article that d6j49kg quoted (see above for the final numbers): tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2012/06/13/tv-ratings-tuesday-nba-finals-win-night-by-huge-margin-americas-got-talent-masterchef-american-ninja-warrior-down/137866/On NBC, American Ninja Warrior scored a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating, down 27% from a 2.2 last week, when it aired Monday at 9PM. Tuesday Cable ratings (seems everyone was watching Basketball on ABC): www.thefutoncritic.com/ratings/2012/06/13/tuesdays-cable-ratings-rizzoli-and-isles-tops-viewers-teen-mom-wins-demos-698515/cable_20120612/The Peacock then offered up its mix of "American Ninja Warrior" (4.93 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T7), Didn't realize the numbers on the demo's.. they did badly that night.. 10th on viewers and 7th on demo. Week-to-week changes (adults 18-49): -27.27% - American Ninja Warrior (vs. 6/4/12) cartermatt.com/19732/tv-ratings-nba-finals-take-bite-out-of-masterchef-americas-got-talent/NBC – The Finals did clearly hurt the Peacock’s lineup, as “America’s Got Talent” dropped to its lowest Tuesday rating of the season in a 3.0. “American Ninja Warrior” also was seemingly hurt by the pre-game as it only posted a 1.6. ”Love in the Wild” actually held on to its 1.6 rating, www.hitfix.com/news/tv-ratings-nba-finals-game-1-brings-the-tuesday-heat-to-abcblog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/06/tv-ratings-nba-finals-up-over-2011-scores-big-for-abc-tuesday.htmlwww.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/the-sked-tuesday-ratings-june-12.htmlSunday, June 10 - G4 ratings:www.thefutoncritic.com/ratings/2012/06/12/sundays-cable-ratings-true-blood-returns-on-top-for-hbo-452214/cable_20120610/American Ninja Warrior (10:00) - G4 0.380 million viewers, #35; 0.225 million adults 18-49 (0.2 rating), #35 American Ninja Warrior (9:00) - G4 0.358 million viewers, #36; 0.228 million adults 18-49 (0.2 rating), #34

They probably disregard the ratings from Tuesday night since it wasnt regularly scheduled and they gave no heads up on the change.

It just shows that the base hasn't changed which in and of itself is not bad.. considering their base is 4.9 million That kicks G4's a** any day of the week Again NBC should be happy they are even in this race at all considering their last 5 years alone! That said, usually a network will look at the overall performance and average it out before they send that data to a sponsor. Ultimately this is what they are hoping for.. someone to help offset the bills next year. This year they took all of it.

At least AGT also drew a new series low.

At least AGT also drew a new series low. Yeah seems NBC had a bad night overall. Which oddly was normal before the start of AGT/ANW this season. It's not even if we can blame it being 2 hours.. AGT was season low as well.

The 0.216 million viewers is a season low for the 9pm hour. All of the other numbers are still higher than the Memorial Day weekend numbers.

I don't know what to make of it, but there's a new NBC press release announcing that "Fear Factor" is going to be ANW's lead-in when it returns from its break on 07/09/2012. Is it better to have new episodes from a cancelled show as ANW's lead-in, or is it better to have re-runs of "America's Got Talent" as its lead-in? The last "Fear Factor" episode on NBC had a 1.5 18-49 rating, while the AGT re-run before the ANW3 finale had a 1.0 18-49 rating, so who knows?

Initial numbers for ANW at 10pm probably won't change much in the next day when the final numbers are posted. tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2012/06/26/tv-ratings-monday-americas-got-talent-up-hells-kitchenthe-bachelorette-and-the-glass-house-down/139250/10:00 NBC American Ninja Warrior Rating 2.0 / Share 5 / Viewers Million 6.07American Ninja Warrior garnered a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating, matching the performance of last week's two hour episode. The didn't keep the numbers from AGT but the base ANW has is still around the 4-6 million range and that's not too shabby. Ratingswise on the key demo it's the season tie for the lowest but even with the time change they are averaging about the same ballpark. No idea what cable numbers are but 10 is usually a dead hour anyway as most go to local programming.

What interests me is will the week layoff help or hinder. They clearly noted the finals are in two weeks, but there are always viewers who forget.

I had to check my blog to see when the final episodes were: Sunday, July 8: 9 p.m. -12 a.m. ET on G4 Monday, July 9: 9 p.m.-10 p.m. ET on NBC Monday, July 16 9 p.m. -10 p.m. ET on NBC Monday, July 23 9 p.m.-10 p.m. ET on NBC

What interests me is will the week layoff help or hinder. They clearly noted the finals are in two weeks, but there are always viewers who forget. The bigger question is how not having new episodes of "America's Got Talent" will affect ANW. The ratings for the trials episodes have plateaued. (Six weeks is too much.) I've been hoping that the Vegas episodes get the highest ratings of the season. On paper, I think Vegas should be everything that trials is not: exciting and entertaining as a TV show. Will "Fear Factor" be a good enough lead in? Will people that got bored with or didn't like watching trials episodes give the Vegas episodes a chance?

Final ratings are pretty quick (although NBC's numbers got rated down)! Btw.. G4 season high right? And maybe even all-time G4 highest rated original show ever (10PM)? (I haven't checked)

That was indeed a G4 season high for ANW4 in both total viewers and the 18-49 age group. Strangely enough, still no G4 press release bragging about it.
