Doesn't mean you ignore facts just because of a difficulty change.

Considering the course has gone through 2 over-hauls since then, I wouldn't be too mad. It is the first time an american gets there on the new course.

Doesn't mean that the fact someone making the final now is way more accomplishing than before.... Let them miss state the facts. The casual viewer doesn't care about the facts, they like to watch the action. The truth only matters to super fans....

Finding out that it's not necessarily the truth.. judging by how many emails and whatnot from brand new fans who are starting to see the inconsistencies of just normal facts from the G4 broadcast.. also explains why so many people are turning to sasukepedia to find out wtf is true and what isn't

From Ryan Stratus FB: "They took the top 15 finishers from that course and put them through a week long "boot camp" to narrow down the 15 to 10. The boot camp consists of relays between obstacles that mirror the actual course in Japan. Slowest team for the day has to pick two members to race each other up a 50 foot rope to determine who stays and who goes. All of this should be airing around July hopefully!!"
Sounds like boot-camp formula is the same.

Though he didn't mention the pressure challenges. I really hope those are gone completely.

I wasn't a fan of the boot camp format. Well okay, I mean it was a pretty decent idea (maybe more so than the beach challenge), but what ruined it was making it all like a reality show. ANW1 was just strict competition. ANW2 was competition and reality TV....see the problem? We don't need cruddy reality TV plaguing our ANW....
...but we're gonna get it anyway.

I gave up on thinking G4 cares about what we say about it I channel my anger onto other things .. LOL Though one thing that will "help" it .. is if they got rid of the voting.. THAT alone will help since that was one of the bigger issues I had with the format. Remove Survivor and it's bearable.

The competitors semi-saved it for me. You could tell they also hated the reality TV aspect and they tried to be very fair with their judgements and there really wasn't any drama. The small bit of drama that there was G4 took and exaggerated it. It's kind of hard to form a drama over a very fair friendly competition filled with comradre. That being said I really wish they improve it in some aspects. Looks like the general format is staying the same but there can still be improvements. 1. Eliminating the pressure challenge 2. Giving the competitors better food 3. More relevant and better made obstacles (Cliff-hanger) It wasn't completely awful last year. I still think it was a LARGE step up from the beach, but yeah, much work to still be done.

Hey, at least they're getting people to think the Americans run with the other 100 competitors... You know... Like it actually does

Am I seriously the only person on these forums that actually likes boot camp? No, I actually liked it more than the prelims! If they remove the first solo challenge and the Rope Climb vote and simply send the worst 2 performers from the losing team to the Rope Climb, it would be perfect IMHO. For the first challenge they should do a team challenge and give the winning team a small advantage in the main challenge.

Well... Get rid of teams... No Pressure challenges... Bottom 2 go to the ropes... And change the editing...
Then Boot Camp might be OK....
