Just needed to clarify one thing!
When I told Travis not to give Evan advice on the Slider Jump I was joking, and right after that I helped Evan out myself. Everyone there was VERY supportive of each other.

I'm now even more confused about if Levi competed or not. He made the top 10, but I thought we concluded that it didn't look like him in the picture of the 10 in front of the Final Stage tower. I'm probably wrong, but what's up with that? Also, is there confirmation yet as to if Levi broke his wrist before or after 26? I'm so lost on this...

Yet he's in the pic of the 10 in front of the Final Stage.. And we know Levi made it and wasn't there.. I'm assuming Levi broke his wrist before Sasuke and Adam L ran in Levi's place

Having just come off from seeing the final round of boot camp, I must say it was pretty exhilarating/surprising/dramatic/all of the above... but not spoiler free. I am very happy with the final 10 oh dear, levi broke his wrist? I really wanted to see him take on stage 3. Uhm you need a spoiler tag, sir.

I don't mean to spread hate.... but that long haired guy, whatever his name is, who deserved to be on the rope climb challenge, and let the other man go, is... ugh... whatever. I'll probably meet him one day, so I like to be respectful, even on the internet, but he better redeem himself in Japan, if he REALLY thinks he's that good.

Patrick? How can you blame the guy for not wanting to put his dream on the line a second time? Hell, he volunteered himself the first time. Spilling the boulders wasn't really a sign of him not being able to complete a physical challenge (like Sasuke) just an error.
It turned out better seeing Evan was able to still go to Japan. Even though his submission tape was just him on American Gladiator, he finally won my respect completely when doing the heavenly climb. - - Rich King's outcome, omg.

I wonder if Patrick practiced climbing any ropes prior to ANW. It's kind of the obvious thing to do considering there's always one in the final stage.

We've concluded that the people who made the most mistakes at bootcamp are the ones that go on the rope climb, Patrick made the most out of the blue monkeys in the last challenge but Evan volunteered because he was a better rope climber. This is especially maddening for a lot of viewers because Rich King & Adam Tuesdell didn't go and Patrick did.
I knew this was coming one day, a younger competitor that makes it to Japan (just barely) and viewers hate him for it.

Sounds like ANW was more of a reality show instead of an athletic competition...

PATRICK RANT I was rooting for patrick after the first episode. But after seeing him knowingly and cowardly run away from that final challenge, I don't support him anymore. All I saw during that boot camp from patrick was the ability to give up. I understand he's been training for 5 years, but clearly there are other guys who have a better shot.
It was almost nauseating, watching him squirm and stumble his way into some half baked excuse about being 'better' at 'the obstacles', and when it was clearly pointed out that the ropes were obstacles, it was practically ignored by patrick. And then, hiding behind his teammate and not giving the real story on why he was climbing the rope, and not patrick.
Worst of all, you have the only other ANW competitor not named Levi or Brian to clear the first stage going home(king), for some one who couldn't climb the rope, the most basic of all Sasuke obstacles.

I knew this was coming one day, a younger competitor that makes it to Japan (just barely) and viewers hate him for it. I don't think that people hate it for the fact he is a younger competitor, but that he didn't really seemed to deserve it. The last time he went up the heavenly rope he just gave up. Is that really someone who embraces the 'ninja' spirit? ETA: Hopefully now G4 realizes that the whole team thing was a major fail.

Sounds like ANW was more of a reality show instead of an athletic competition... Ding, ding, ding...this is the correct answer. The real shame about the selection is that those guys were put through that horsesh*t in the first place. Besides, who didn't do anything stupid and selfish when they were so young? I've never moved from my original opinion that G4 has no business sending ANY competitors to Sasuke (yes, I understand the financial aspects), but it seems like these competitions take one step forward and two steps back every..single.. time. Still, I bear the ANW team no ill will, and wish them success in the true spirit of Sasuke. What I think would be cool is for G4 to have another ANW competition, with the winner or winners to go to Japan to go head to head with Japanese qualifiers, with invitations to Sasuke being the big prize. But you know no teeeee-veeee network is going to lay out that kind of money without a shot at the big show.
