In my opinion. At least thats what i thought it meant How did this thread get so off topic? Back on topic, I see the Rolling Maruta going due to techincal problems.

Well the annoyingninja asked what imo meant. Did the rolling log have technical problems in 25? I didnt see any. It is the original version. For what i know only the second version (with the drops) had the most problems.

The original Rolling Maruta had problems too.. Stopped often and derailed several times. The Sandan Rolling Maruta just had ALOT more problems. And I know the log stopped at least once in 25

Oh yeah, I forgot about the stopping. It actually helped some of the weaker competitors! lol
Some got lucky and slid all the way down but some got stuck good.
I hope the rolling log stays, but out of the rolling log and log grip i think the log grip has a better chance of staying. Although didnt the log grip get stuck a few times also? Although compared to the rolling log that was nothing.
Maybe they should make the rolling log steeper so it wont stop anymore. haha.

The Log Grip had less technical than the Rolling Log.
It should stay over the Rolling Log.

Yea, after SASUKE 20 the Log Grip was engineered to start automatically once someone puts their weight on the obstacle. It has worked great ever since.

Log grip has worked a lot better than the 18 version =p
1. It'd get stuck
2. You can turn it to make it easier
etc...
Many many problems... but for the most part it is completely fixed now, while the rolling log STILL has some problems. I love both obstacles, but I think I like the log grip more, even if the placement of it is a bit off.

The Problems with 18's Log Grip were with the design.. It had steel cables through loops in the top of the track, It made it slow, it twisted it and it stopped it.. Friction is a b**** ain't it? But of what obstacle seems more likely to go.. I think it'd either be the Rolling Maruta or the Bridge Jump. RM for tech reasons and (I just found out not to abbreviate Bridge Jump..) seems like Monster9 thinks it'd be too easily defeated in 26..

If I was a betting man I'd say Log Grip will go, but I personally want the tarzan rope and climb to go the most because it's so boring now. Like others before me have said, a rope spider walk combo would be good.
A new first obstacle would be nice too, we've had steps for ages!

Instead of just a net climb, they should have a Tarzan Rope into the Spider Walk that'll end the stage. Just my idea. I think the bridge jump should stay. It's a interesting obstacle.

I kinda said it first, but you're welcome. Thank you! ;D Man imagine that...a guy gets to the final obstacle with 30 seconds left, he makes the transfer from the rope to the Spider Climb and looks like he will clear with 10+ seconds to go, then he fails because his shoes can't stick to the walls.

But isn't that more exciting than watching someone just slowly going up the Rope Ladder? ;D

But isn't that more exciting than watching someone just slowly going up the Rope Ladder? ;D If the time limit was strict, then no. The thing that made the Rope Climb exciting was the low time when someone made it there. Same with the Wall Lift in Stage 2, it's a terrible obstacle if your clearing with anything over 5 seconds. Without a good time limit, then Can you imagine the outrage at the producers if someone like Nagano were to fail the Spider Climb simply because of their shoes not sticking? Not because he didn't have proper form or good time, but because of his shoes.

Not because he didn't have proper form or good time, but because of his shoes. Technically that'd be true anywhere on a Spider Walk.. It wouldn't have to be the last obstacle... Hell.. The Jumping Spider was in the middle of the first stage.. The Spider Walk was the 1st/2nd obstacle of Stage 2.. I don't see how those are any different from if it was the last obstacle of stage 1..

The Jumping Spider was in the middle of the first stage.. The Spider Walk was the 1st/2nd obstacle of Stage 2.. I don't see how those are any different from if it was the last obstacle of stage 1.. Because, you never have been able to tell if someone will pass that particular stage if they passed the Jumping Spider or Spider Walk because it's too early in the course. Akiyama always dominated the Spider Walk in early Sasuke, but he never got to the third stage until the 4th. Nagano always killed the JS (sans 24), but we all flipped out when he flubbed the Slider Jump in 22. A couple of us even thought Yamada would pass the 1st when he finally ended his JS slump before he reached the wall. Putting it as the last obstacle and having someone failing with enough time that you could do it almost twice over because of their shoes is really anti-climatic. More so than the Rope Ladder or the Rope Climb ever were/will be.
