Well, it can be said that it was "meh" in a way, but they actually did do the whole thing separate from ANW, just focusing on the "World Athletes" instead of including the Americans.
So far, they did do it kind of how TBS did for focusing on the New Stars vs. the All Stars. To actually understand it now (to a certain point), wasn't too shabby, but as usual, they could have done much better.
Overall, a much nicer broadcast, but as usual...needs ALOT of work for jumping around WAY too much for the competitors.

Hey, they left out the americans. That's something you wanted Arsenette, so it's not like they arn't improving =)
Also, even M9 skips around in their broadcast.
The only thing they really need to work on still is accurate subtitles and pronunciation of names.

Also, even M9 skips around in their broadcast. The only thing they really need to work on still is accurate subtitles and pronunciation of names. M9 doesn't start the competition on competitor #5 and show someone who was 51 very very early just because he failed the curtain slider. They also don't show you how far a competitor gets in the first stage before they cut to commercial break. G4, they just treat us like we're idiots, #1 in Sasuke 23 got far so they think "We can't show him first, then all the fails that happen earlier in the course than his will be pointless to show! In order for our viewers to enjoy stage 1 we have to have people gradually get farther in the stage." edit: though the continuity of 22 was the closest they came to being that bad.

Yeah, did they totally forget about Kota Honma being the youngest to complete the first stage?
Plus, I'm a little bitter that they didn't show Kongu's new technique on the SCH. Here's hoping they'll air it next week.
I did love how they gave Shingo a lot of air time focusing on his comeback.

well, wasn't the Kongu Kross just in 24? Oh well...and I noticed the Honma thing(and said it in the chat) as well as Kawashima Takayuki was 18 and made the final, Kan-no(it's a G4 topic) is 24.

Kongu's reach obviously started in 23. Kawashima made the final? Did they say that or is that not what you meant? Otherwise Nagasaki shunsuke is the youngest to make the final.

I haven't seen 23 in a while...I'll look it up on Elsie's blog. Kawashima was 18 when he made the final in Sasuke 1. Nagasaki was 19 when he made it in 17. EDIT: Yep, Kongu Kross started in 23. And they said Kanno was the youngest to make the final. And that it was Yuuji's first attempt in 22(Rider said it best, "I guess 21 was just practice.")

the Yuuji starting in 22 mistake was understandable, a lot of us believed it ourselves early on. What really caught me off guard was them claiming Nagano's second run at the first stage was "for the first time in history, someone will rerun the first stage" yeah my a**. I guess hypothetically speaking in the universe of Ninja warrior no one has ever done it before because people who run twice just get all cut their first time, but are they that stuck in their own little world? By that time I got up out of my seat and started pouting around the living room, freaking out my dog who was sitting next to me. I lost track at the sheer amount of inaccuracies.. word.

I noticed some stuff just in the preview show and a bit more for part 1
1. Said Kaiou was first son (though that's understandable -- most don't know about past relationship anyways)
2. At one point they showed 20's landing fail on the HPA when talking about his 22 pathfail.
3. They said Spider Jump again (this one irritates me the most -- Jumping Spider, how is that difficult to say?)
4. In the beginning of part one when talking about the first stage's new obstacles Dave said Curtain SWING (made me facepalm), but at least that wasn't evident everywhere else.
5. Because of the way they failed in the scheduling this time, they had to act like Kunoichi 8 actually happened before 23 during Rie's run calling her a WoNW champion.
6. Rye Komiya
Besides everything else mentioned, that's all I caught, but now at this point I'll just watch as I didn't finish.

One other thing that's not a blame to G4 is the fact that they too did a Fast Forward during the 2nd stage for how the STQ'ers were pwned by the Salmon Ladder, so that's one of the few times we can't really blame them for that.
Overall, after finally watching the whole thing, it gets a C- for not showing more of everyone on the third stage instead of just focusing on the New Stars vs. All-Stars.

When you want to make a point...Mike Gundy their a**es.
I saw the whole thing today on the rerun and wanted to kill myself for voluntarily wasting 2 hours of my life!

Watched parts 1 through 3 and said "That's it, I can't ****in' take it anymore. I'm sorry." a quote from the angry video game nerd. Then worked on my Mission impossible montage a bit and then watched part 4, 'twas alright. I'm just surprised the Americans are being ignored like they were never there, not everyone knows they were already shown in ANW.

[...] 5. Because of the way they failed in the scheduling this time, they had to act like Kunoichi 8 actually happened before 23 during Rie's run calling her a WoNW champion. In this case, isn't G4 actually correct? It's TBS that chose to air them out of order.
