I REALLY hope Sasuke 24 is NOT the last Sasuke. If it is, though, I want to see Yamada and Shingo make it to the top. I want to see them do that even if it isn't the last Sasuke, but I definitely want to see that if it is the last Sasuke.

Then why'd they choose new years? That seems like a bad choice for a show trying to get back on it's feet. For TBS, SASUKE = TV Programming Cannon Fodder.

I can understand why all of you may think that this is the last Sasuke, but you are leaving out one huge fact.
Would you create a website for a show that you are about to cancel?
I can see why you belive this is the end with the 6 hour show and the rush for Kanzenseiha. But this is most likely just a way of trying to improve ratings for the show be it now or for future tournaments.
The 6 hour show can be because they will have more time to show it. You know how most people are out partying and tv stations just show marathons of a show. The rush for Kanzenseiha can be likely to save the show from downfall. We've already seen a bunch of people come close to total victory. Aren't you guys wanting to see someone come out on top? I can see this as a way to spur excitement.
I mean it sounds like you guys are excited for this right?

Arsenette.
In your blog post, you stated...
SASUKE 24 (Airdate confirmed by Monster 9 page) Friday, January 1, 2010 Time: 17:45 - 23:24 (Japan local time)
3:45 AM (Eastern Standard Time) (Friday Morning) 12:45 AM (Pacific Standard Time) (Saturday Night/Friday Morning)
Don't you mean to say, Thursday Night/Friday Morning for Pacific Standard Time?

Yes, to archive the history of a show that lasted over a decade for all the world to see.

I've sent out a message to everyone in the SASUKE Facebook Group regarding the broadcast info.

Stating that the set period for the broadcast is nearly 6 hours doesn't guarantee the show will be, does it? I'm sure it depends greatly on the results of the show. After all, there's only so much background filler you can show in a broadcast, even if you are M9 or TBS. What I mean is, the show could only take up 4 hours of those 6, and then the next two would be refilled by TBS... or something.

Well, thankfully we have more time to wait until we see what TBS / M9 decides to do with those 6 hours.

Do you think if Sasuke is canceled that G4 will maybe take over the idea as "America Ninja Warrior", with guest from Japan?

You guys are getting off of topic. If they say it's 6 hours, it's ognna be 6 hours. i don't think they've ever "changed their minds" after taping. Either way, with 6 hours a LOT of stage 1 competitors could be shown. Which is good news for any americans going get our 120 seconds (or less) of fame.

Wouldn't be surprised if they shoved Navi in all of this.. Or showed more of Japanese Trials.. or more fluff pieces like Yamada retiring (again..).
P.S. Agreed with Bada.. feel free to start a new topic because we know that's in everyone's minds and deserves it's own thread.

For the sake of Sasuke's survival, and ours (as the people watching), I hope that the results of 24 will be at least comparable to 23's. Otherwise we'll be stuck (as someone said earlier) watching them try to drag out the runs, and we know how that turned out in 20. I, for one, don't want to be watching for 5 and a half hours only to see like 5 people pass the 1st stage... That being said, however, excellent timing. In Germany, it starts in the morning and lasts until the afternoon. Cool.

Well last time there were 4 hours and we got almost all the first stage runs, so logic tells me that either 1. They're showing all 100 runs in full 2. It's mixed in with the navi

Was Sasuke 23 filmed on a Monday only because it got pushed back due to rain? Which would then put 24 on the 20th potentially.

The only time they moved a date was for Sasuke 20 because they wanted to give Nagano an extra week to recover from hospitalization. Weather has never been a factor to changing anything.. as evident by quite a few tourneys I figured Monday the 21st would be a possible provided they are keeping the same set up. Not sure though since it is quite different than the last few tourney set ups. Still have to wait and see.

Ah ok, but I'm pretty sure that 23 was supposed to film on a Sunday but got pushed to Monday to avoid rain...
