Not too much, just confident I can make it there.

Really enjoyed reading your liveblog, Arsenette. Reading it made me notice one thing, though. Where the hell was Shingo during Stage 2 and 3?

That can't be what it seems. It must be a timer of the entire stage including all the preparation and downtime and stuff. Otherwise it would just be ridiculous.

Nagano easily broke the 30 second rule as well. They showed that he was on the green pipe before the Gliding Ring for at least 2 minutes.

Seems pretty accurate of the time he took from when he got up there to when he hit the mud

Yay I got confirmation as to wtf that time is... it's the 30 second timer thingie BETWEEN obstcles.. (thanks Meri) So that 55 was 55 seconds between the last obstacle and the next..
Which of course.. changes how long Nagano was on Stage 3 in Sasuke 17 since I read that incorrectly.. Still .. the Nagano rule is still firmly in place since he ignores that 30 second thing a LOT .. not as much as he used to (and producers yelled at him .. check the tape).. LOL

So what exactly happens if you break 30 seconds? would they disqualify you for resting too long?

So what exactly happens if you break 30 seconds? would they disqualify you for resting too long? I guess not since Nagano breaks it all the time... But honestly, either the 3rd stage is timed, or it isn't... The 30 second rule is lame and unenforcable...

I've never seen a disqualification but since they do ask you to please move it along most competitors have adhered to it. Besides.. resting too much can actually screw you up if you allow your muscles to relax after arduous tasks.

Arsenette is right, 30 seconds is a good time.
Your muscles will be hurting, but if you wait for like 2 minutes the lactic acid starts building up incredibly fast, and it'll make it even more painful.
Might aswell do the obstacles while your muscles are still on your side.

Regardless though it's just hysterical seeing Nagano take time to flap gums with his buds.. I mean 21 was not as bad as 17.. Sasuke 17 was downright hysterical. Heck.. Sasuke 9.. I swore he was going to go to SLEEP on the last bar before the pipeslider! He didn't have the friendship he has now so he was quite quiet at that time.. but yeah.. they cut a LOT since he took the longest to finally get it done.
Takeda took 55 seconds this time to get started on the OMFGHIGUCHISANISNUTS obstacles with no break section of the Jumping Bars/Rockwall thing/Spider flip combination.

Lol, Nagano took at least 2 minutes while resting on the green pipe before the ring, and that is what they actually showed to kill time. I can't imagine how long it really took.
