PLEASE KEEP THIS THREAD CLEAR OF PREDICTIONS.. right now I want to keep this thread strictly for confirmed and so far rumored (which written documentation like a blog post or website mention would be most appreciated). Especially with the influx of new people - please adhere to the specific topic in hand. As the dates get closer people sometimes feel the need to start a new thread for every single competitor.. for the sake of sanity please keep in line with the thread topics. (feel free to sticky this.. we have a full month until we know for sure who's going to be on Sasuke 23. It's still very early so I won't put a blog post. I do know however that the likelihood of Daisuke Miyazaki returning to Sasuke 23 are slim to none. He's now officially with his new handball team in Spain and according to this - sports.knt.co.jp/daisuke/ He's got a fan trip getaway sweepstakes thingie on the same weekend as the proposed taping of Sasuke 23 (provided of course there is no last minute change in date which of course can and has happened in the past). As of this date the only ones guaranteed going are most of the allstars including Nagano. The ones up in the air as usual would be Bunpei. Provided nothing has changed with Akiyama I would expect him to be there at this point. Yuuji because he's being featured in Sasuke 23 announcements including a recent poster. ANC/ANW/G4 people - so far the only rumor to be going is Kevin since he made an announcement of some sort that he was training for it. Past that I don't know though at this point I wouldn't be surprised if Levi is already confirmed considering the huge press he got for Sasuke 22. The rest you already know is still kinda muddled (keep specifics in that thread as well - sasukemaniac.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=s23&action=display&thread=924 ) Everything else seems to be up in the air. As I find things out or if anyone hears anything (please feel free to check blogs and whatnot). EDITED: ramblingrican.blogspot.com/2009/09/so-excited-for-sasuke-23.html

That's a good assumption along with Iketani (definately) from Muscle Musical. Considering that Sato is basically Mr. M9 walkin'.. he is pretty much guaranteed.

Does anyone think David might be a shoe-in? IMO he'll probably get a second chance.

Hard to tell.. I'd love to say yes but at this moment we just don't know what G4 is thinking. Might want to keep that on the ANC thread for now until we know for sure. Until then cheer him on and wish for the best. I find it idiotic he has to go through these hoops again..

Okay gonna need some help in figuring this one out. I wrote on Lee's blog for Sasuke 23 (he posted the Application information I posted a couple months ago) word for word and mentioned something about it coming up so fast (stupid translators). I wasn't sure if he was posting it saying he applied.. or he's invited.. so I put a post up asking if he was officially going and I got an answer: tw.myblog.yahoo.com/n428/article?mid=1972&prev=1984&next=1923&page=1&sc=1#yartcmt就是在等通知 不用想太多 I got a couple translations: Such notice is Do not think too much Another was: Is in and so on notices Does not need to want to be too many... anyone know WTF that meant? Is he a confirmed?

Is it Japanese? I swear it barely is.
The best I could infer was that he's unsure, but he's not taking any chances.

He's from Taiwan so it's Chinese and that's a good assumption. I'll keep watching his page.

From what I've tried, the characters break up individually like this:
就是 - awaiting 在 - (preposition) 等 - exact 通知 - notification
不用 - need not 想 - think/wish 太多 - too much
But that's just the individual characters. We can infer a certain meaning from it but better to ask someone more familiar with the language since I'm not sure how the characters interact with each other.

Basically it says he is still waiting for a confirmation from TBS/M9. Guess they like to keep everyone in the dark until the last minute, even one of the best competitors.

Thanks guys!! I "think" the application process closes this weekend. They still have that one event on Sunday in Muscle Park I blogged about. Maybe they will start finalizing the roster in the next week or so.. provided the date hasn't changed to the competition.

He's from Taiwan so it's Chinese. Which would explain my less-than-exemplary attempt to translate it through a Japanese dictionary. Yes, the written Japanese language is based on the Chinese, but it's still different.

The winner for the Miyazaki Beach Sports Number One competition is Itou Yoshiki 伊藤圭槻, 17, of Noboeka City 延岡市.

K Seems like they are giving Tomohiro Kawaguchi 川口朋広 a free pass to Sasuke 23 due to his performance during the Sasuke thingamajig they had in Muscle Park this weekend! (Yay!) blog.livedoor.jp/musclepark/archives/51407084.htmlFor those who don't remember (shame on you...) ehem.. he was part of the final 8 in Sasuke 21 Trials and was also part of the final 7 for Sasuke 22 Trials. He's the one that has a chameleon for a wife (if you read my blog you know what I mean.. LOL)

Wow, that's really cool. He had a shot of clearing in 22...if he didn't completely botch the Slider Jump.

Aaaaah I misunderstood the translation. Hoping it was saying that .. the wording in the previous thing led me to believe they might use one to qualify.. and Kawaguchi would have been cool if he got through that way considering he's made it before.
Hmm I thought Ryo and Koji beat the muscle climber. Is that the same thing they had during golden week or a different rig altogether?
