Hmmm, let's see...
Shingo was always my favorite since I started watching Sasuke, and Akiyama was certainly up there as well. While I was never a big fan of Yamada and Shiratori, they've certainly gained some respect in my book. As for Takeda and Nagano; when they started competing, I've always liked them.
I'd say these are it for me. 1 - Shingo Yamamoto 2 - Makoto Nagano 3 - Toshihiro Takeda 4 - Kazuhiko Akiyama 5 - Bunpei Shiratori 6 - Katsumi Yamada

Takeda. Never been to the 4th stage, but still ranks well to be up there to be an All-Star. OK, ok, I lied. It's the pants

Despite his recent goofs on the course, for me it's always been Shingo.

I'll give Bunpei some love. He's the former Olympic athlete and always takes on the course with dignity. Since his knees are touch and go I look forward to anytime he'll be back on the course.

Shingo was the first competitor that I started the recognize and one of the first I saw beat stage 1.
Since he was in every tournametn and always wore the same outfit, he was instantly recognizable and me and my brother always rooted for him since having such an odd job would put him at a disadvantage.
After Kobayashi was introduced we rooted for him almost just as much, we loved the odd-job competitors.
Nagano is always so humble, and he won so he's up there.
Never been big on Bunpei for some reason... he never stood out to me. He has an awesome backyard though and a great personality, but I used to think there were 5 all-stars. Then someone told me there were 6 and Bunpei was the one missing from my list.
No need to go over the other 3.
But I picked Shingo. He's always consistantly one of my favorites, though he needs to get his act together and relive his glory days! You're still young man, you can do it.

Takeda for the win...and Bunpei as second. No need to explain why I don't like Yamada, and the others are cool and all, but I like Takeda and Bunpei's personalities, they're cool.

'Takeda all the way. I mean, come on. He even made me think about being a firefighter!
I've always liked Shingo as well. Even though he has made some screw-ups, he'll be up there once again. Bunpei seems alright to me, never seem to get into his character, and Nagano is just the most humble champion I have ever seen. Akiyama is ok, but I'd probably like him more if he was consistent.

Makoto with no doubt, but couldn't decide between Shingo and Toshihiro...voted Toshihiro but Shingo is ok too.

nagano and yamamoto. where is nagasaki? He may have been seemingly like an all star when he was a serious competitor (around 17-19) but Nagasaki is a younger guy and isn't an all star.

I voted for Takeda since he has done so well when it comes to getting to Stage 3 (the most out of anyone ever), with others traits about him that make him my favorite...I like Nagano 2nd best because he's a good sport and I like his somewhat unusual laugh:)...Yamamoto is my third favorite (not sure why, though)...Akiyama 4th, Shiratori 5th, and Yamada 6th (I like Yamada the least since he's too obsessed with Sasuke; he needs to more focus on other things IMO)

Shingo all the way: -The new haircut -The lucky(or not so lucky?) cap -The silly mistakes (*cough* SASUKE 22 *cough*) -The progression in proffession (lol rhymes) -The theme music (The Chickens Are Revolting lol) -The having-been-in-every-SASUKE -The sheer awesome
