I am now liking the new third stage. That cliffhanger is a nice throwback with a cool addition.

I noticed during the Sasuke Overseas program that the competitors possibly wear goggles when attempting the water tank obstacle. Does anyone else notice goggles?

Dammit, they're wearing pads in the 2nd Stage too >_< Sucks... but considering it's a safety precaution I don't really blame the staff for making people wear them... I mean it's not like it's the level of the "Ninja Killer" G4 set up for NW Fan day (I.E. the thing we all used to call but only was briefly shown on: Ninjafest 4)

Considering that you can still find articles leading to the five injured people from SASUKE 18 and what happened to Kinniku Banzuke...Perhaps they should have been wearing pads all along.
People b**** about the influence of G4 and NW on altering the course to be safe but several people on several different programs run by M9 have had people get injured (SASUKE, KUNOICHI, Sportsman, Kinniku Banzuke, Muscle Musical). That Japan is not as lawsuit happy as the US probably has some influence on that but I'm pretty sure TBS/M9 would have made changes if someone like Nagano had gotten seriously injured in a situation that could have been prevented by something as simple as pads.

Hey while I agree with the concept if Nagano got hurt badly.. I just reminds me of the poor beating Shingo took every tourney.. heck.. let's count the ways.. Full length wall land on him.. several different ways.. breaking shoulder.. dislocating shouder, yeah.. M9 didn't give a rip about him ... or he didn't complain. I'm expecting the latter

Also, if I recall correctly, most of the DOORS contestants wore pads AND helmets. If a talent gets injured, I can imagine that the agencies (nor the talent themselves) would not be very happy with the TV stations. One of this year's break-out comedians, Sugi-chan almost had his career derailed by an accident on a variety show. Actually, I believe it cost him (and his agency) a ton of money because he was still making appearances under his pre-stardom pay rate. mainichi.jp/english/english/features/news/20120901p2g00m0et086000c.htmlNote that the show was postponed (not sure if it ever aired). If people want to stay pure and just hope for serious accidents to not happen, that's up to them.

And confirmation of what we already figured out about the Cliffhanger. And we find out from the announcer while those TBS staff members were running that ob1 has the classic name Godantobi still. And no it was too pixely to see the stage 2 obstacles, I may have seen the Unstable Bridge as ob2 but I dunno if that was the platforms or not with the quality.. So the course as we know it (Italics representing unconfirmed names): Stage 1: Godantobi Rolling Escargot Spin Bridge Double HangShorter Soritatsu KabeSoritatsu Kabe Tarzan Rope + Rope Ladder 105 seconds (Confirmed) Stage 2: (What did you see here?) *Unstable Bridge?* Spider Walk Gyakso Conveyor PoolWall Lifting Stage 3: Rumbling Dice Crankshaft (Similar to Arm Bike) Transfer CliffhangerCurtain Cling *Pegboard? Hook hangs?* Pipe Slider (Possibly Bar Glider since it looks like it's going uphill) Final Stage: Ultimate Rope Climb (23 meters)

I'll be the first one to say I hate the first stage. It sucks and is boring.
The only way it would actually be cool is if the time limit was 75 seconds. 105 for THAT stage is wayyy too much.

We haven't even seen it in action yet.
Wait for the broadcast. The obstacles don't really make or break an enjoyable broadcast do they?

Unless the Spider Hang takes 50 seconds, it's not a tight time timit. More lenient than 27's.

Thing is though the Rolling Escargot is one of those obstacles that has to put extra time on the clock, it takes a bit of time to get proper grip in it (You don't want to just rush into jamming yourself in and it starts rolling before you're ready), you have to start it and it doesn't roll that fast (Well... at one point it did but it was deemed to be too much and they had to change the obstacle mid-day), but it's still a great obstacle, does its job well and is still exciting to watch. Also you have to factor in the time that it takes to get across the net, you say 105 seems like too high of a time limit but I feel it's perfect for this stage. I mean a high time limit doesn't have to mean it's lenient, look at 26 for example... that tied for the highest time limit Sasuke has ever had but yet it still was one of the strictest time limits in Stage 1 history...

I thought I saw salmon ladder rungs in there but I cant be sure. There was some red off to the left in that really short shot of the second stage at the beginning. I've no idea what that is.
