This fact is still true. Shingo's string of first stage fails started as SOON as he established bariante (which was just before SASUKE 31)...

If he somehow clears in 40, his First Stage fail streak will be bookended by anniversary tournaments.

Koji Saikawa has had the 10th best result in every tournament he has competed in so far. He is also the one of two competitors to have the same placing in three separate tournaments and never be the best performer. The only other competitors to have the same placement in 3 consecutive tournaments are Nagano (11 ~ 13), Morimoto (34 ~ 36), and Kong (23 ~ 25) and in the former two's cases they performed the best, while Kong was in 3rd place in the tournaments mentioned. Kanno is the first competitor to fail the Dragon Glider four times and the only one to do so consecutively (he was absent in 36). This tournament is the new worst average for the All-Stars. As of this tournament every grand champion has now failed the Warped Wall at least three times. (Akiyama: 10, 14, 15, 24, and 25, Nagano: 7, 8, 28, 29, and 31, Urushihara: 31, 35, and 39, Morimoto: 22, 37, and 39) Sorry I’m late to the party, but Okuyama also joins the list as he came 4th in 23-25. He would’ve broken this record but he just about went further than Lee on the Shin Cliffhanger in 22.

This is the first tournament that having idols from saka group(not counting Yoshimotozaka 46). HIKAKIN is the 5th YouTuber compete in SASUKE. Like other SASUKE tournament after a Kazenseiha, there's still no finalists. In YouTube channel, only Goto and Muto don't have a video hint for stage clear. Kajiwara become the talent that reached cliffhanger since Iketani Naoki. Seiya, soshina, takagishi have almost the same way falling in the last tournament. Takachi first time failed before Dragon Glider.

With SASUKE 39 aired in the month of December, this is the most consecutive number of times that there are four tournaments aired back-to-back on the same month, breaking the record of three tournaments in the month of July (SASUKE 30-32).
Now then, will SASUKE 40 breaks this chain? Highly likely YES! So far, SASUKE did not air on the month of February, May, August and November, which month will be first?
