I don't think so. Take Nagano in 31. He didn't technically fail anything, but he still timed out on the warped wall. A fail constitutes a result other than reaching the end of stage 1 in time and pressing the button. It is a fail via time out on the warped wall. TO --> Failure to clear stage TO -//-> Obstacle Failure What I'm trying to say is that Stage Result =//= Obstacle result. Ayano's Stage 1 result officially is TO on Warped Wall, without a question. But she still cleared the obstacle. It's not possible to say that she didn't clear the Warped Wall, because obviously she did clear it. It's the same way with 32 this year. Kacy and Nagano both TO'd on the Lumberjack climb, but they both still without a doubt cleared the obstacle. Stage Result = TO, obstacle result = Cleared I get your logic but if the official result is "time out on Warped Wall", it is acknowledged that you didn't fully pass the Warped Wall. If she had climbed to the top of the wall and was moving between the wall/Tarzan Rope when time expired, it would count as Time Out on the Tarzan Rope as the Warped Wall had been fully defeated. But she didn't fully pass it. And anyway it cannot be argued that Ayano was anywhere near the Tarzan Rope when time expired. She may have physically cleared it or was in a position to clear it, but still the first women, in completion, to pass the obstacle was Kacy.

I think the easiest for me not to get my blood pressure up in this case is to just remove any links to Sasukepedia. It's incomplete, incorrect and contradicts itself especially when anyone can write wtf they want being a wiki. that way I know the results aren't tampered with or subject to conjecture. TBS and NBC make the calls as to what is and what isn't legit and I don't have to like it. Hell.. if Yamada got his way Yuuji didn't clear in 24 because he was wearing the wrong shoes. I don't like the technical fails on the Salmon ladder but they are ruled as such. Yeah.. that's what I'm going to do. In the next week I'll just remove any links to Sasukepedia and just ignore this thread. It's pointless. I agree that continuing the discussion is futile. These things - like Brent and Ayano and the rest - are not solidified in any way and never will be, as there are camps on both sides. The issue will never be resolved. But by accepting the issue as pointless, you therefore also accept that neither you or the others are "right".

Both TBS and NBC ruled and are crystal clear and their cases are closed. It's Rider and RC who are enamored with making their name on the wiki and deceiving everyone else that they somehow know better. If you don't like what NBC and TBS have ruled b**** to them, don't try to rewrite history for whatever side you are on. I had to drop the whole Brent thing because NBC said so. NBC had to drop when they said Kacy was the first up the wall then backtracked and said ANW when Mika's clear was brought up to them by TBS. Last year Ayano's clear was announced on the broadcast and this year Kacy's first attempt to the lumberjack was announced by TBS. All rulings and all on camera by the owners of the show. There's no conjecture.

TBS made a ruling, that ruling sticks, but again, that doesn't mean TBS didn't f*** up. And they did. Rider and RC aren't trying to say TBS is wrong because they want to seem hipster, and just feel like triggering everyone. They're trying to point out the truth. And if socialist NBC really contacted you telling you to stop talking about them faking Brent's clear, my condolences for them trying to take away the First Amendment from you.

True. NBC can BS Team Japan into getting 0 points when they should have been at the Final Stage too. That didn't stop "us" from calling them out.

Calling it out and altering records that are supposed to mirror official results are two entirely different things. People use wiki as an official source. Conjecture shouldn't be in there. That's what the boards are for.

Another day, another divisive thread. We are simply on a roll as a forum, aren't we?
Two things:
This is a place for discussion, where opinions, interpretations and judgments will vary. That doesn't change the fact that they are valid. It seems like last week, I wrote a comment about the negativity and was basically told to shut up because this is a place where negative opinions are allowed, even if I don't agree with them. That's fine. But I have to say, I'm starting to feel like there's a double standard about when opinions and differing judgments are allowed, and instead of a healthy discussion, all I see are flimsy accusations about how everyone is biased because of what they watch/what they believe/some ulterior motive, usually none of which are accurate.
Until NBC + TBS creates their own public website with the official results documented in an archive for all tournaments (or at least the ones in question), the same way any professional sport and even some game shows have, this will be a matter of opinion and judgment, not of fact. As far as I am concerned, by not having an official record book available in ANY form, TBS and NBC make the history of SASUKE and ANW at the mercy of the fans who keep records of the results. It's all we have to go by. If I am mistaken, I hope someone could please post a link or screenshot of an official record stating that one of these women was the first to clear the Warped Wall in competition.

Watch the show and listen to the words that are spoken. That's all the official records that I need. Every single thing I said about "rulings" are there.

If they literally said on the broadcast "Ayano cleared the Warped Wall" (and idk if they did), it should be changed on Sasukepedia, maybe with a note saying that she had her hands on the top of the wall when time expired.

Mika is the first woman to clear the warped wall. Ayano is the first woman to clear the warped wall in competition. TBS has stated these two statistics as facts.
I really don't understand why this inquiry has taken up two threads now. Instead of praising Kacy for making it further than any other woman ever in the first stage, (sans Nishimura) everyone is focused on her being the first to beat the warped wall when she isn't. Arguing against this is like arguing against the existence of gravity.

Statistically he hasn't. But in reality, he has, or at least should have.

Of course, since you're rejecting the statements made by TBS, the analogy does not make sense. It's rather a weak one in my opinion, since people on different sides cannot agree on the same issue due to how the analogy was stated.

Kacy is not the first to clear the Warped Wall, and nor is Oshima, sadly. The accolade goes to Mika Watanabe, who cares if it's competitive or not she did it first on TV.
Can we stop fighting please? This is SASUKE Maniac Forums. Not Fight Club.

Also IMO, Kacy is first to clear the WW, Oshima and Watanabe never did it in time.

Same with Brent clearing the 2nd stage in ANW4. The networks have spoken on all of that. Our opinions are irrelevant.

Like, it's astounding to literally disregard fact and create your own 'ruling' like Mika's hasn't been a thing for years and Ayano's is consistent with that. It's clear to see that TBS considers 'hand on the lip of the wall without falling off within the time limit' a clear and that they differentiate falling into the water/course out from a time out.
