Whoa, thanks for this thread. I live in Switzerland and I love watching ANW, but there's no way I'd have found out about this without this board...

The channel guide says - Teams picked by hosts Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila compete in "Supersized" competitions. Included: a giant peg board; 40 foot Salmon Ladder; Flying Shelf Grab; Jump Hang; and "Mega Wall." Each five-person team includes one woman and one rookie.

The special was fun to watch. Hope they do it again. First hour was the team competition on Stage 2, 3, 4. Second hour was the skills competition. Giant Peg Board - 40ft around, 12 segments, 180 peg holes, 1 minute time limit. Supersonic Shelf Grab - Starts at 9.5ft and maxes at 14ft "for safety reasons". Super Salmon Ladder - 40ft high, 35 rungs. Giant Jump Hang - 16ft to 17.5ft, fast-forwarded. Mega Wall - 16ft to 19ft at sunrise. I think it's funny that the CCH face-forward method is unsafe for Sasuke, yet ANW has them jumping with a foot long shelf over their heads. A CCH challenge would be cool to see. Attachment Deleted

So based on the preview pictures I know they cut out some stuff, like Joe Moravsky and Daniel Gil on Stage 3, as well as the Morimoto-Dory climb-off. Was anyone there who knows about these omitted runs and can provide results?

It's weird to see the course in daylight lol Imagine having the Final Stage in daylight, it would be some spectacle! But seriously I want them to make another special but the supersized elements are part of the 4 stage course

Morimoto? Are you sure you don't mean the USA vs World special?

Morimoto? Are you sure you don't mean the USA vs World special? He does, Morimoto/Dory was done during USA vs The World and just to be nice to Team Japan since everyone knew Morimoto was champ but was not part of the official tournament and therefore was not shown

Teams what are they going to call themselves blue monkeys , white tigers, or red dragons? Sweet flash backs to the boot camp days. Ok Campbell was a Red Dragon one season Connealy can not remember but he was on White Tiger Levi was one Blue Monkey Patrick the young kid and I think Evan Dollar was a Blue Monkey

While I watched the All Star last night. I wish they had aired it sooner that is for darn sure.
I enjoyed the Skills competition more than the team it was like a Mini us vs the world but just two teams yawn with the new Ninja Team warrior and the Worlds that was a big who cares (imo). Now I love the skills competitions need more of that stuff it was quite fun to watch. The sonic shelf leap off was sweet and down right fun to watch; loved the salmon ladder competition and the warped wall was just freaking crazy sweet.
Personal opinion drop the team crap stick to the crazy skills competitions.

In my opinion I think this is one of the best episodes of ANW ever. The skills competition was exciting to watch (it reminded me of ASEAN Open) and the producers came up with incredible ideas that we thought would be inconceivable. I hope they bring back the Skills Competition in a future episode or maybe even put the supersized obstacles in the actual course!

Overall, quite enjoyed the All-Star Special, more the skills stuff than the team competition. There were two things that bothered me, though. One in the Team Competition, and one on the Skills Competition. For the team competition: No. Sorry, but Meghan Martin and Jessie Graff started on the Stage 3 obstacles. To me, that was NOT "history being made". If they had gone there after clearing Stage 2, maaaaybe, although even then it would be stretching it. As it was, though, it was about as history making as "the first woman to EVER attempt qualifying".
For the Skills Competition: Joe Moravsky. 18'9" Warped Wall. What the heck? I mean, there's confident, there's celebrating, and then there is just flat out cocky. Joe sailed way past all three, and reached Yukio.

I swear, they are REALLY scraping the bottom of the barrel for "first-ever" achievements they can hand out. They literally hype Meagan up so much, calling her the first woman EVER to attempt stage 3 like that means something and it wasn't handed to her on a plate...
What next? In two seasons time we'll have:
And Ms Mittens becomes the first EVER kitten to attempt the Ultimate Cliffhanger!
