I can understand the Curtain Slider and heard about those but what was wrong with the Circle Hammer tech-wise? I thought they took it out because everyone picked up on the trick to get past it without losing any time. I'm not a course designer I was going by what others said when they were there Something about sticking...

It seems like they have a lot of problems with obstacles that involve metal sliding on metal.
Circle Hammer, Curtain Slider, Stick Slider, Gliding Ring, Slider Jump (okay, that was the return rope).
Pipe Slider seems to be the only sliding obstacle that worked all the time. The connection? Pipe Slider was the only obstacle with a horizontal track.

Good observation. People forget about condensation and air temperatures on an open field reek havoc on metal obstacles.

Yer I'd rather land on mats or in a pool of water than a hard floor with more hard floor filled with a lil' bit of surface water.

They could do what G4 has done with ANW. Make pools and put obstacles above them.
I'd rather it outside too, but if it makes good obstacles f*** up, than maybe not.

Nah, indoor SASUKE would be terrible at this point. Just think about loosing the magic of the night time stages... Plus, I think at this point it would be pretty much impossible. Te course is kinda bigger (I think...correct me if I'm wrong). I still don't understand how the heck they managed to do the first one indoors. On Topic, I liked the Bridge Jump, if it was only slightly harder it woulda been perfect.

It's like nothing they learned in the past stuck with them. I personally love it. IMO the only person who failed it was someone who didn't have any control whatsoever and expected that by relying on the endcaps it was going to stay on track.. IF he realized you had to keep it straight no one would have failed the obstacle. That obstacle was quite different than the stick slider. The stick slider was more or less horizontal with a very low pitch. This one's pitch was a heck of a lot more steep. I don't see a problem with it. It's not the grinding ring where they created the obstacle with the wrong materials... Anyway back to the Bridge Jump - I liked it

On Topic, I liked the Bridge Jump, if it was only slightly harder it woulda been perfect. The VERY first course back in the day was much shorter as far as the length for all 4 stages. In fact.....the 3rd stage was only 3 obstacles, until it was advanced to 4 with the one and only Pipe Slider in tournament 2. Back to the topic at hand, I think the Bridge Jump is a good obstacle where you'll get the occasional slip up, just like the Cross Bridge (not the X-Bridge).
